Rock Paper Feather Press

Reconnecting compelling Kansas characters and places to contemporary times through deep curiosity

NEW RELEASE

2025Moveable Monumentby Sarah Green

A tale of civic pride, industrious and influential women, and the celebration of the amplitude of Kansas agriculture, Moveable Monument (Rock Paper Feather Press, 2025) chronicles the ups and downs of the Ladies Columbian Corn Fountain now installed at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Kansas. Come for the civic engagement that created the corn-shaped monument for the 1893 Columbian Exposition, stay for the euphoric completion of a piece of public art that has fallen in and out of public excitement and view for the last 132 years.
